Referred in by the listing agent for a simple exterior colour consult, TDC's BUYERSEYE report on this under ten-year old investment property called it early: repaint the outside on its own, and the inside will only look worse. The client agreed that evening.
Drab floors, bathrooms and bedrooms that merely passed, and a statement pool lost in early-2000s greige. The agent wanted the renovation kept short; TDC held the line on what the result actually required, floors, walls, driveways, pool, bathrooms, carpet and electrical.
The client called the evening the report landed. "I hear you." The full scope followed, and the property went on to set a street record.
